Obituary for R.O. "Bob" Dillon

R. O. (Bob) Dillon passed away peacefully at the age of 86, Saturday, June 27, 2020

He was born in Charmco, to the late Naymard and Ora Adkins Dillon.

Bob was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and retiree from Sparrows Point Bethlehem Steel.

In addition to his loving parents, he is preceded in death his beloved wife Betty M. McQuain Dillon; and siblings Pauline Goddard, Asilee Simms, Eunice Simms, Bill Dillon, Bud Dillon, Deanie Stevens.

Bob was a devoted father to Jeffery M. Dillon (Kathy) and Lisa D. Fell (Rick); loving pappy to Dalana L. Fell, and Alexander M. Dillon, step-grandfather to Nicholas Cole; great-grandfather to Amelia and Elora Cole; and a dear brother of William “Carl” Garrett, Jimmy Dillon, and Sissy Tumidajewicz.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Fred Fryar officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to (Alzheimer’s Foundation) 225 N Michigan Ave. Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
